Requires shrimp labels at restaurants serving imported shrimp
Requires restaurants, cafeterias, food trucks, and similar places that serve shrimp to post a sign at their main entrance and on their menu if they serve imported shrimp. Places that serve both imported and local shrimp must say that some items may contain imported shrimp, while places that serve only imported shrimp must say that some items do. Businesses get a three-day warning to fix a first violation, then face daily fines of $100 to $5,000 for repeat violations. The rule takes effect 120 days after the governor signs it.
